Well, four started school today. Micah will start kindergarten next Tuesday. Then it will be just Linky and I for part of the day! I'd like to say that now that they are in school I will be highly productive, exercise and shower by 9am, have the house in order when the kids get home, along with a healthy snack and have gotten some errands done, but I will not commit myself to that in writing, in a public place. Today has already been rocky. I am sick. Can you believe it? Yep, I've got a lovely head cold. But, hopefully tomorrow will be better.
Hunter (starting 2nd grade) and Wynter (starting 4th grade)
Savannah (starting 8th grade and not smiling)
Mark (starting 11th grade and avoiding the camera)
The first day of school -- aaaah, what memories that phrase conjures! Jennifer stopped by on the way home from Ridgecrest and reminded us that our first great grandchild starts kindergarten in a few days. How time flies! Enjoy those moments -- those exact times will never happen again.
ReplyDeleteGive the kids big hugs for us! We miss out on so many wonderful, simple things by not living closer.
We need to know the day & time of Hunter's baptism. His afghan burned in the fire, so I've started another but will not get it finished in time. Maybe we can arrange a special day to present it to him. We send our love to all of you.
Oh I just did this, this morning! It's bitter sweet for me because I don't have a baby at home anymore, they are all in school full days now.
ReplyDeleteI'de like to say that I would also be more productive, hmmm but don't hold me to it:) I hope this is a great year for your kids!
@Tammi-I'm not looking forward to those days when no one is home. I need to enjoy these last 4 years of having a child home with me all day. : )
